Sold Two More Paintings At Liquidambar!

Wow...just two weeks into my two month exhibition and three paintings have sold so far!

"Taurus", named after the bull, sold just as the sun moved into the astrology sign....hmmm...fortuitous?

"Galloway Cows" sold soon after....maybe painting and selling cows during Taurus is the right thing for me to do?! (smiling) But then again, I've always been lucky painting cows...or any animal for that matter!

Contact me for your custom pet portrait!  Check them out on my website (www.kimwerfel.com.)

April's Reception at Liquidambar

What a beautiful day for a reception!

Last Sunday (April 7th) was a spectacular Spring Day and brought everybody out to Pittsboro's First Sunday....and to my reception at Liquidambar Gallery.

Kathy King had her amazing beaded jewelry exhibited too as she is featured as the 3-D artist for March and April.  See her website here.  We struck up a nice friendship and had fun swapping artist stories.

I sold some cards and two big giclee prints....one to a lovely lady who took my workshop last November from Sandford, NC.  She purchased one of my "purple donkey" prints!

A neighbor came and purchased a giclee print of my doe and fawn "Affection"....

Wish I took more pictures to show you, I was too busy talking with people!  Avis Autry on the keyboards was just wonderful and my husband conversed with the Gallery owner's husband for hours.  A good time was had by all!

We're having another opening on May 5th - Cinco de Mayo - with a lively guitarist to entertain us!

So save the date...Sunday May 5th from 2-4 at Liquidambar in Pittsboro, NC.

See you there!

Sold before the opening! "Fall Tree" pastel

After changing out some note cards at the Roadhouse I decided to see how the Liquidambar show looked and found out that a pastel painting already sold!  After just one day!  Whoo Hoo!

This piece is framed with a cherry wood frame and fillet, with a soft grey/green mat.  Framed size is 17"x20.  It was a favorite of mine and hung proudly on my wall for a while, but I need to make room for new work so put it up for sale.

I guess I need to paint more landscapes!

Excited to see how the rest of the show goes.

Will post photos from the reception after this weekend....good weather report so far!

Thanks for reading!
